Octavian, 44-27 BC. Denarius (Silver, 18-20 mm, 3.66 g, 9 h), Italian mint, autumn 30 - summer 29 BC. Bare head of Octavian to right. Rev. IMP - CAESAR Naval and military trophy facing, composed of helmet, cuirass, shield, and crossed spears, set on prow of galley right; at base, crossed rudder and anchor. BMC 625. Cohen 119. RIC 265a. An excellent example, well centered on a large flan and with a splendid portrait. Few very faint scratches on the obverse, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
